The latest release of Team Coherence fixes some issues in both the Client and the Server. The main client-side improvements include a new HTML editor for modifying object notes in Version Manager (you can still specify an alternative if required), and the fixing of several issues in the default code viewer. In addition, some issues have been resolved regarding Queries, and all Version Lists now respect the visibility of Version Manager (if installed) labels, and now also include manually typed labels. The client-side update is free for existing registered users of the relevant modules of Team Coherence, regardless of the server version.
If you are using version 7.1.x of the server, the new server download requires an upgrade fee. For users of version 7.2.x versions, the upgrade is free.
For more information on the changes, see the change history.

This new release is a maintenance release and fixes a number of minor issues, mostly internal. The major changes relate to Vista compatibility:There are many minor issues also fixed. Of note are:
Note: we spent a very long time trying to pin down the issue where TC would occasionally pop to the front of other Windows. We haven't yet fixed this, but have found a workaround:
Basically once you have started Version Manager, switch to another module (Tracker or Builder) then switch back to Version Manager.
Quite why that should work, we don't know. We've been through the entire start process of each module line-by-line, and can't find anything that might explain the issue. Very strange, and we will continue looking into it.

Quality Software Components has announced the release of Team Coherence Server 7.2.[Top]

Team Coherence now has a tool to enable the easy importing of Microsoft © Visual SourceSafe ® repositories into Team Coherence, maintaining the version history and applied labels.
One of the main concerns of users switching from VSS to Team Coherence in
the past has been the possibility of losing their historical data,
especially when they uninstall their existing copies of VSS. This is no
longer an issue as it is now possible to import entire repositories, or even
just individual files and projects, from VSS to Team Coherence.
The Import tool is fully supported in the evaluation version of Team
Coherence, so feel free to test it as necessary.

cross-platform with both the Windows and Linux versions offering the same
functionality. The Linux versions of the Server and Command-line are native

offerings of our competitors.
The new version of the server fully supports the Version Manager and Tracker
